“Never again will one generation of Veterans abandon another”

We are Veterans who served during the Vietnam War. Even though rejected by society on our return, we served with honor and bravery under the most trying of circumstances. We believe it is our responsibility to champion the causes of the Vietnam Veteran and Veterans of all wars both past and present. We honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the War and those who have paid with no less sacrifice after returning home from the effects of Agent Orange. We will not rest until all of our Brothers and Sisters who are listed as MIA, are brought home and reunited with their loved ones.

Help support Chapter 1036

Throughout the year the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1036 sponsors many events in order to raise funds for the chapter’s charities / donations  for our local communities as well as needed Veterans and their families.

Our two largest events of the year are the Annual Golf Tournament and the Annual Pancake breakfast. Between these two events alone, with your help, we can raise funds needed in order to support our charities.

We have other ways of raising funds such as 50/50 drawings, Poppy sales and many more.

BUT, in order to raise these funds we need everyone’s help in supporting these events. Of course we need contributions, but we need your personal touch as well. We need to be out there showing our support and gratitude for our local residents. We need to wear out chapter shirts and or hats to let them know who we are, what we are trying to do and for who.

Support comes in many forms. From sitting down at a table for about - two hours with another member at a town square selling tickets to the event of raffle tickets, to sitting in a lawn chair to witness/verify a "Hole-in-One", in during the golf tournament. We need members to help bag Thanksgiving / Christmas meals for about three hundred families at the Fruitland Park Food Pantry.

So visit this page often to see which event we have coming up and what help you can give to support the event.

Thank you Brothers and Sisters and "Welcome Home".
